In 1981 we revolutionized the estimating process when we introduced digitized takeoff software. Estimators instantly counted, measured, and entered data just by touching plans with our electronic pen. The scale rule and roller wheel became obsolete, and estimates were faster, easier, and more accurate.

Now, with our patented Graphical TakeOff (GTO), we're about to change the face of estimating takeoff software - again. With GTO you don't have to take off fittings - they're generated automatically. By eliminating fitting takeoff, AutoBid produces estimates three times faster than any other system.

How does our graphical takeoff software work? As you strip the drawing, GTO presents a color-coded, on-screen graphical summary of takeoff. GTO automatically inserts the correct fittings and hangers as you go, based on customizable specifications. Our takeoff software also adjusts hanger lengths for elevation changes, and removes hangers on vertical duct. Auto-generation of fittings and hangers not only saves a ton of time, it also eliminates human error. And if an estimator does forget something during takeoff, GTO generates a red "hotspot" on the drawing where items need to be taken off. And all on-screen items - even automatically generated fittings - are intelligent objects. Just click on any item to find it in the audit trail or access its elevation, specification, material, or system information.
