Overview

This class provides an overview of the PipeDesigner 3D software. Particular attention will be paid to using and modifying the software to generate mechanical piping drawings in a three-dimensional environment. Students will also be introduced to the basics of creating fittings, specifications, templates, spool sheets/isometric drawings, bills of material, and generating production drawings using the PipeDesigner 3D software.

Who should attend

The class is intended for users that are reasonably proficient with AutoCAD. It is ideal for designers that are interested in becoming proficient in a 3D environment.

Prerequisites

Students must have a basic knowledge of AutoCAD. In addition, anyone wishing to attend must successfully complete a qualification quiz sent to prospective students. Students with the requisite knowledge should be able to complete the quiz in about half an hour.
