AutoBid SheetMetal Comprehensive Implementation

Overview |

An overview of the AutoBid SheetMetal software, with particular attention paid to implementation, including implementing the software and generating estimates. Students will also be introduced to the basics of creating bids, taking off drawings, and generating reports.
Either the five AutoBid WebEx sessions or the AutoBid WebEx Challenge must be completed successfully before attending the class in order to understand the basic structure and functions of the software. QuickPen also strongly recommends that students complete the AutoBid SheetMetal Pre-Training Workbook and work with AutoBid SheetMetal for several hours prior to attending the class in order to understand the basic structure and functions of the software.

Goals of the Course |
|
To provide the AutoBid SheetMetal implementer with an understanding of the structure and content of the sheet metal estimating software, with the purpose of verifying and modifying the software as necessary to meet company standards in order to produce fast, accurate sheet metal estimates.
Learning Objectives |
|
Upon completion of the course, the implementer will be able to
- Navigate through AutoBid SheetMetal
- Modify the data tables so that the software accurately reflects the company's method of doing business
- Takeoff ductwork, air distribution items, and duct accessories
- Create, edit, and, take off symbols, assemblies, and other company-specific takeoff items
- Take off drawings using techniques learned and practiced in the class
- Generate reports

Discussion and demonstration, followed by group-paced exercises.
Class Schedule |

Class times: Tuesday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Lunch: 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Breaks: one 15-minute break at 9:30 AM and one 15-minute break at 2:30 PM
