QuickPen International Releases AutoBid® SheetMetal 2007

Release Increases Integration with Cutting, Accounting, Project Management Systems

Englewood, Colo., September 20, 2007 — QuickPen International today announced the release of AutoBid SheetMetal 2007, the newest version of its Windows-based HVAC estimating system. Version 2007 gives users unprecedented data import and export capabilities, instant correction factor updates, and enhanced compatibility with Microsoft's newly released Vista operating system.

Version 2007 provides tight integration with cutting, accounting and project management systems. AutoBid SheetMetal users can now quickly export estimate data to a wide range of accounting and project management systems, including products from Microsoft, Intuit, Primavera, and Timberline. In addition, users can import job data directly from the Vulcan format, including drawings exported from a CAD program to the Vulcan format.

AutoBid SheetMetal 2007 adds new capabilities to the unique Box-In tool in QuickPen's patented Graphical TakeOff, allowing users to instantly add or update correction factors for all or just part of a drawing. With AutoBid's Box-In tool, users simply click and drag across their Graphical TakeOff to select a group of connected items to create assemblies or alternates, specify zones or systems, or delete items. With Version 2007, new options allow users to enter or update correction factors for field installation, field material handling, shop fabrication, or shop material handling.

"AutoBid SheetMetal 2007 continues to build on QuickPen's powerful Graphical TakeOff to provide the integration and features our customers are asking for, and that no other system can match," said Morton Massey, QuickPen Chief Operating Officer. "With the built-in intelligence of AutoBid's patented Graphical TakeOff, the sky's the limit on what AutoBid can do to make our customers more productive and more profitable."

Version 2007 also provides complete compatibility with Windows® Vista. All Vista users, regardless of account type, can operate AutoBid SheetMetal 2007 and take advantage of Vista's security features.

Other new capabilities in Version 2007 include project locking, additional default fittings options, and date tracking of pricing data.
