QuickPen International Announces On Screen View

AutoBid® to Allow Users to Import Drawings for Digitizer-Free TakeOff

Englewood, Colo., October 2, 2007 — QuickPen International today announced the upcoming release of On Screen View, a major enhancement to their AutoBid® SheetMetal and AutoBid® Mechanical estimating products. As the only system in the marketplace utilizing QuickPen's patented Automatic Fitting Generation, On Screen View promises to be the fastest on-screen takeoff available.

On Screen ViewOn Screen View removes the need for a digitizer table and bulky paper drawings, while still giving estimators the ability to take off directly from the architectural drawings. On Screen View allows users to import a drawing into AutoBid and display it on screen. Touch takeoff is performed by the mouse instead of a digitizer pen, and floating windows allow users to enter commands.

On Screen View still provides AutoBid customers with all the powerful capabilities of QuickPen's patented Graphical TakeOff (GTO). Automatic Fitting Generation automatically takes off all required fittings such as elbows, tees, taps, and reducers, and powerful tools like the Box-In capability, search and replace, and specification-driven system are still available to help users produce accurate and flexible bids.

"QuickPen is very excited to bring yet another revolution to HVAC and Mechanical estimating," said Morton Massey, Chief Operating Officer. "On Screen View gives our clients all the power of our patented GTO and Automatic Fitting generation - without the digitizer."

On Screen View will be available in the upcoming Version 2008 releases of QuickPen's AutoBid products. AutoBid SheetMetal 2008.1 is scheduled to release in time for the SMACNA National Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 22 - 25. AutoBid Mechanical 2008.1 will be available in December 2007.
