Trimble® Design Link extends the functionality of designs created in AutoCAD® that are used in the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) process. It adds standards-driven detail that allows the exchange of data from the finished design to be used in estimating, collision avoidance and collaboration applications, fabrication and field layout. You can use the design work you’ve already done to fast-track the work that remains ahead.


Trimble® Design Link provides the following benefits:
  • Advanced routing, collision detection, 3D insulation, flow calculations,connectivity, annotations, and schedules.
  • Direct download to Vulcan Cutting Systems.
  • Quickly place and export Field Points for use by the Trimble® MEP Layout Solution and Trimble® Field Link for MEP
  • Fabrication data is added to the IFC export providing the IFC file handler with additional data that will prove valuable to coordination.
