04/22/2008 - QuickPen International Releases AutoBid SheetMetal 2008 v1

New Release features On Screen View, Data Export to Accounting & Project Management Systems

Englewood, Colo., April 22, 2008 - QuickPen International today announced the release of AutoBid SheetMetal 2008 v1, featuring On Screen View takeoff and the ability to export estimate data to accounting and project management systems, two major enhancements to their patented HVAC sheet metal estimating software. As the only system in the marketplace utilizing QuickPen's patented Automatic Fitting Generation, AutoBid SheetMetal's On Screen View promises to be the fastest on-screen takeoff available.

On Screen View removes the need for a digitizer table and bulky paper drawings, while still giving estimators the ability to take off directly from the architectural drawings. On Screen View allows users to import a drawing into AutoBid and display it on screen. Touch takeoff is performed by the mouse instead of a digitizer pen, and floating windows allow users to enter commands.

AutoBid SheetMetal 2008 v1 introduces the ability to seamlessly export estimate data to leading accounting and project management packages, including Microsoft Office Project, Primavera, and Sage Timberline Office.

"QuickPen is proud to deliver digitizer-free takeoff and seamless data export to our customers," said Morton Massey, Chief Operating Officer. "We are committed to delivering frequent updates to our software to make sure our customers have access to the most productive, integrated solution available."

Other new features include the ability to create nested assemblies from the Graphical TakeOff, Mouse Menu customization, and GTCO Smart MenuTM integration for increased productivity. The new version is compatible with the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.
